IMPORTANT FOR HERPETOLOGISTS — Biological Materials & Wildlife
Participation in ACH 2027 does not authorize participants to import, export, collect, transport, possess, or exchange wildlife, specimens, tissues, DNA samples, biological materials, animal products, or other regulated research materials.
Participants intending to carry scientific specimens, tissues, preserved material, biological samples, wildlife products, or other regulated materials into or out of Indonesia are personally responsible for obtaining all required wildlife permits; research permits; collection permits; transport permits; export/import permits; CITES documentation; quarantine or health documentation; institutional approvals; and Customs declarations.
Do not carry biological specimens or wildlife materials across the Indonesian border without confirming the applicable legal requirements in advance.
ACH registration, abstract acceptance, invitation letters, Summer School participation, or participation in a Congress field excursion does not substitute for any government permit.
