Visa Information

International participants are responsible for ensuring that they hold a valid passport, a visa, and immigration permission required to enter Indonesia and participate in ACH 2027.

Indonesian immigration regulations may change before the Congress. Participants are therefore strongly advised to verify the requirements applicable to their nationality and intended activities directly with the Directorate General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia before booking travel.

Visa-Free Entry

Indonesia currently provides Visa-Free Visit (Bebas Visa Kunjungan/BVK) facilities to nationals of a limited number of countries and territories. Visa-free entry is generally granted for a stay of up to 30 days and cannot be extended.

The countries/territories currently listed by Indonesian Immigration for Visa-Free Visit include Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Hong Kong SAR, Laos, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

The eligible list and permitted activities are subject to Indonesian Government regulations and may change before ACH 2027.

Participants should verify their eligibility immediately before travel.

Visa on Arrival / Electronic Visa on Arrival

Nationals of many countries and territories are eligible for an Indonesian Visa on Arrival (VoA) / Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA).

The current eligible list includes nationals of South Africa, Albania, United States of America, Andorra, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Netherlands, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Chile, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Philippines, Finland, Guatemala, Hong Kong SAR, Hungary, India, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Iceland, Japan, Germany, Cambodia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Colombia, South Korea, Croatia, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau SAR, Maldives, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, Mauritius, Mexico, Egypt, Monaco, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Norway, Oman, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, France, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, New Zealand, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Cyprus, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor-Leste, China, Tunisia, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Vatican City, Venezuela, Vietnam, Jordan, and Greece.

The current VoA/e-VoA generally permits an initial stay of up to 30 days and may be extended once for a further 30 days, subject to applicable immigration regulations.

Eligible participants may obtain the VoA upon arrival at designated Indonesian immigration checkpoints or apply for an e-VoA before departure through the official Indonesian immigration system.

Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) is currently an authorized entry point for e-VoA holders.

Participants should verify current eligibility, fees, entry points, and permitted activities before travelling.

Participants who will deliver an oral presentation, invited lecture, plenary lecture, workshop, or other formal presentation should pay particular attention to the immigration category applicable to their activity.

Single-Entry Visitor Visa — Index C10

The C10 Visa is specifically intended for foreign nationals participating in meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions, or similar activities as a resource person, lecturer, speaker, presenter, or influential figure.

Accordingly, international ACH participants who will formally present or speak at the Congress may need to use the C10 visa category, depending on their nationality and immigration status.

Participants should not assume that eligibility for a tourist Visa on Arrival automatically means that it is the appropriate immigration permission for their intended Congress activity.

C10 Visa — Current Information

Purpose

The C10 Visa currently permits activities associated with meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions, and similar events where the foreign national participates as a speaker; lecturer; presenter; resource person; or another recognized participating figure.

Tourism and visits to friends or family may also be undertaken within the conditions of this visa.

Type

Single-Entry Visitor Visa

Initial Stay

Up to 60 days from the date of arrival in Indonesia.

The stay permit may be extended in accordance with applicable Indonesian immigration regulations.

Current Official Government Fee

IDR 2,000,000

Visa fees and requirements are determined by the Indonesian Government and may change before ACH 2027.

ACH does not determine Indonesian visa fees.

C10 Visa Application Requirements

Current Indonesian Immigration information indicates that C10 applications are sponsor-based and may require documentation including:

• a valid passport with at least six months' validity;

• a recent colour passport photograph;

• application/support documentation from the Indonesian sponsor;

• evidence of sufficient living expenses, currently indicated as a bank statement showing at least USD 2,000 or equivalent during the required period; and

• other supporting documentation requested by Indonesian Immigration.

For eligible registered ACH participants requiring a Congress-related visa, the ACH Secretariat may provide appropriate supporting documentation confirming participation, such as an official invitation/support letter, subject to Congress procedures.

The issuance of an ACH invitation letter does not constitute a visa and does not guarantee visa approval.

All visa decisions remain solely under the authority of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.

Activities Not Permitted Under a Visitor Visa

Participants must comply strictly with the activities permitted under their visa or stay permit.

Visitor visa holders must not engage in unauthorized activities, including undertaking employment or entering into an employment relationship in Indonesia where this is not permitted by the visa; selling goods or services where not permitted; conducting activities outside the scope of the granted visa; remaining in Indonesia beyond the authorized stay period; or otherwise violating Indonesian immigration regulations.

Overstaying or conducting activities inconsistent with the granted immigration permission may result in fines, immigration sanctions, deportation, entry restrictions, or other legal consequences.

Participants Attending Without Presenting

Participants attending ACH solely as delegates or visitors, without delivering a formal presentation or undertaking another activity requiring a specific visa category, may be eligible for Visa-Free entry, Visa on Arrival/e-VoA, or another Visitor Visa, depending on nationality and circumstances.

Because visa eligibility and permitted activities vary, participants must determine the appropriate immigration category for their individual situation before travel.

Countries Requiring Special Immigration Procedures

Nationals of certain countries may be subject to additional Indonesian immigration clearance or Calling Visa procedures.

The current Indonesian Immigration list includes Afghanistan, Cameroon, Guinea, Israel, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, and Somalia.

Participants from countries subject to special procedures should begin their visa arrangements well in advance of the Congress and should contact the ACH Secretariat if Congress documentation is required.

Participants should recheck the official requirements shortly before applying and again before travelling to Indonesia.

Indonesian Customs Regulations

All international participants entering Indonesia must comply with Indonesian Customs regulations. Passengers must truthfully declare goods where required and cooperate with Customs and other border authorities. Indonesia currently operates an integrated electronic arrival system incorporating immigration, customs, health, and quarantine information.

Participants should complete the required arrival/customs declaration through the official Government system where applicable.

All Indonesia Official Arrival Declaration

Customs regulations may apply to items including cash and monetary instruments; alcohol and tobacco products; medicines; food and agricultural products; plants and animals; biological specimens; scientific equipment; drones and electronic equipment; commercial goods; restricted substances; and other regulated or prohibited items.

Passengers carrying cash and/or specified monetary instruments with a total value of IDR 100,000,000 or more, or the equivalent in foreign currency, must declare them to Indonesian Customs.

Participants must provide complete and truthful information in their customs declaration.

To make the visa process simple and convenient for international presenters, ACH 2027 will provide an optional C10 Visa Application Assistance Service through the Congress registration system.

Eligible registered participants who require a C10 visa may select the C10 Visa Assistance option under Add-On Services and pay the applicable visa fee together with their Congress-related payments.

Participants will normally be required to upload:

• a clear scanned copy of the passport biodata page; and

• a recent colour passport photograph

The ACH 2027 Secretariat/Event Organizer will assist with the Congress-related application process, including preparation of the appropriate supporting documentation and coordination of the application in Indonesia where applicable.

Participants using this service therefore do not need to independently prepare the Congress invitation/support documentation required from the event organizer.

Important

• The passport must meet the minimum validity requirements established by Indonesian Immigration.

• Additional documents may be requested where required by Indonesian Immigration.

• Participants should apply sufficiently in advance of their intended travel date.

• Visa fees and immigration requirements are determined by the Government of Indonesia and may change.

• Payment for the visa assistance service does not guarantee visa approval.

• Visa approval, validity, permitted activities, length of stay, and entry into Indonesia remain entirely subject to the decision and authority of the Directorate General of Immigration of the Republic of Indonesia.

• ACH 2027 and the Event Organizer cannot override, influence, or guarantee an immigration decision.

How to Apply Through ACH 2027

Register for ACH → Submit Abstract → Receive Acceptance → Complete Congress Registration → Select “C10 Visa Assistance” under Add-On Services → Pay the Applicable Visa Fee → Upload Passport & Photograph → ACH Secretariat Processes the Congress-Related Visa Assistance → Visa Decision Issued by Indonesian Immigration

Participants who do not require ACH visa assistance may arrange their visa independently through the appropriate official Indonesian Immigration channels.

Indonesia has extremely strict narcotics laws.

Participants must not bring, possess, use, manufacture, distribute, transport, purchase, sell, or become involved with illegal narcotics or controlled drugs while in Indonesia.

Indonesian law provides very severe criminal penalties for narcotics offences. Depending on the offence, substance, quantity, and circumstances, penalties may include long-term imprisonment, life imprisonment, and the death penalty. These laws apply to foreign nationals as well as Indonesian citizens.

Do not agree to carry packages, luggage, medicines, substances, or other items for another person unless you know exactly what they contain. Keep your luggage under your control while travelling. A claim that a participant did not know what was contained in luggage or a package should not be assumed to protect investigation or prosecution.

ACH and its organizers cannot intervene in Indonesian criminal proceedings or exempt any participant from Indonesian law.

Prescription Medicines

Participants travelling with prescription or controlled medicines should check Indonesian requirements before departure, particularly for medicines containing narcotic, psychotropic, stimulant, sedative, or other controlled substances.

Where appropriate, participants should carry medicines in their original labelled packaging; only in quantities reasonably required for personal use; and together with a prescription and/or physician's letter explaining the medical requirement. Some medicines legally prescribed or available in another country may be controlled or restricted in Indonesia. Participants are responsible for confirming the legality of their medication before entering Indonesia.

General Legal Responsibility

All ACH participants are required to respect and comply with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Indonesia throughout their stay.

Being unfamiliar with Indonesian law does not exempt a visitor from legal responsibility.

The ACH Secretariat can assist with appropriate Congress documentation but cannot provide immigration approval, customs clearance, legal immunity, or exemption from Indonesian law.

We strongly encourage all international participants to prepare their immigration and travel documentation well in advance and to verify official Indonesian Government requirements before departure.
